Download this free album from a Brooklyn native who straddles the worlds of hip hop and broken beat
Giving away music won't necessarily whip up a storm anymore. Loads of artists are doing it. What helps is if what you're flogging is good — and that's certainly the case with Probe Dms' free album Life Is A Movie. If you like Kanye, Clipse or, for that matter, even Mark de Clive-Lowe — who appears on one track — you should dig this hip hop download.
It's not surprising that Life Is A Movie is polished. Probe Dms is a seasoned studio engineer, who's co-produced tracks for mainstream hip hop artists such as Mobb Deep, T.I. and Cameron.
This isn't, however, Probe Dms' only solo release. Back in 2005, under the moniker Spymusic, the Brooklyn native created a stir with his broken beat hit CLOAK. (The track came out on 2000 Black, a label run by Dego from 4hero.)
