Hot Fuzz
Sean Pegg and Nick Frost had a lot to live up to following 2004's genre-bending "zomromcom" Shaun Of The Dead, but they've succeeded with aplomb here. The plot, in short, revolves around hotshot London bobby Nicholas Angel (Pegg) who's forced to police a sleepy village because he's making his city colleagues look bad. The dialogue is fantastic, the cast is great and there are copious cop gags. The only blemish on an otherwise sublime spoof is that it's half an hour too long — but it's very funny and very British. Now, how many movies can you say that about?
